We were let of out class early today to photograph a demonstration. The plan was to show support for the Egyptian and Tunisian people, while also demanding that Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak steps down. We weren’t sure how the protest would turn out. The protests in other areas have certainly exploded, but who knew how this would turn out? There were about 20 people who came out and demonstrated for just over an hour. It didn’t seem like much of a demonstration, and it was bitter cold.

(1/31/11) Brian Lenzo waits to get into his car after participationg in a demonstration in downtown Rochester. The demonstration lasted just over an hour and included around 20 protesters. Demonstrators marched to show solidarity with protestors in Egypt and to demand that Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak steps down.

  2. Yep, I asked but they didn’t seem to know if/when they will be doing another one. Here’s the Facebook page for the event:
They said there would be a discussion in the Idea Factory at the RIT library this coming Thursday I believe.
